Derek Sanderson comes from Sheffield, Yorkshire. He moved to Scotland in 1967 to be with his wife Anne and continue his career in the Graphic Design and Advertising industry but in 1980 launched out as a freelance illustrator and artist.
Now, Derek focuses entirely on fine art, specialising in watercolour, oil and acrylic landscapes of the beautiful Scottish landscape that he has come to love, especially so the Western Isles.
Derek’s work has featured in many exhibitions throughout the UK, and his work is part of many private collections in the UK and overseas.
